The Huntington Beach Pier, which extends out majestically into the ocean, is a highly sought-after location for capturing and immortalizing the breathtaking beauty of a Pacific sunset. The pier serves to fragment and diversifies the vast expanse of the ocean horizon, lending depth and an element of visual intrigue to the resulting photograph. To compensate for the fading light, I employed a slow shutter speed, which imbues the waves with a sense of fluid motion while also creating a subtle motion blur effect on the individuals present on the pier. I find it particularly appealing how the vibrant glow of the pier lights mirrors the intensity of the setting sun.
