The fallen tree jutting out across the Merced River was my inspiration for the title of this artwork. I took a few artistic liberties with this image, and if you look closely at the trees and rock formations on the bank opposite the tree over the river, your imagination will run wild! Besides being a beautiful image of the calm Merced River and vivid fall colors, there’s more to the story- somewhat like myself.
