I found this view of Honolulu and Diamond Head and was so impressed I returned several times at different times of the day to take pictures. Diamond Head is a volcanic cone standing sentinel looking out over the Pacific for 200,000 years. A single eruption created it in a few days. The Hawaiian name for it is Leahi, meaning the brow of the tuna. Legend has it that Pele, the volcano goddess, and her sister Hiʻiaka lived here while exploring the islands for a permanent home. There’s so much to explore in Hawaii; I’m constantly surprised, amazed, inspired, and excited.
