What an adventure capturing this photo! The night before I captured this incredible shot, the weather reports warned us to stay away from the beaches because of gusty winds and massive waves. But, being the daring adventurer that I am, I woke up at sunrise and started my hike to Queen's Bath. It was tough going, and I fell a few times on my behind, but I pressed on. When I got closer to the ocean, the sound of the waves was deafening, and the earth shook with each crash against the lava rocks. I was all alone and a little nervous, but the beauty around me was worth the risk! Even though the waves were dangerous, there was something magical about the calm tidal pools and the orange-reddish clouds at sunrise. I had to keep wiping my lens and setting up my tripod between each wave, but I persevered and captured what felt like the "Queen's Wrath." It was an unforgettable experience, and I'm so glad I didn't let the warnings stop me from exploring.
