I was on a mission to photograph all the lighthouses on Lake Michigan. It was not an easy task, as I quickly discovered halfway into the journey. Starting from Chicago, I embarked on this adventure that ended up with so many twists and turns along the way. Port Washington was one of the many stops. This lighthouse is unique because it is set atop an arched concrete base that increases its elevation and allows for improved views. This image of Port Washington Lighthouse was taken at sunrise on a cold Wisconsin winter day.
